Due to the leak on the District Heating by Physics, the heating must be isolated to contain the issue and conduct repairs.  It will be turned off from 12pm on 23 December with investigatory works through late December.  Hot water will be maintained.

Contractors are scheduled to attend on 5 January 2026 with repairs anticipated to take a few days.  

During this time the Physics covered walkway may not be available, and diversions may be signed on the north side of the lake.

Timetabled activities and room bookings for the first week of January in the Physics and James area may also be moved.
