Some services, including the VPN (Global Protect), are performing extremely poorly for some users, while other users are unaffected.

This primarily, but not exclusively, seems to affect Virgin Media customers. Universities across the UK have reported experiencing the same issue. Unfortunately this is not an issue the University can resolve on its own, and we are awaiting a resolution from Jisc or the external network provider.

Although the issue is not fixable by Jisc, they have put a workaround in place which should resolve the issue for all users. Please contact us if you are continuing to have access issues.

Jisc, our external network infrastructure provider have now closed their ticket related to the VPN/connectivity issues last week. We now consider this issue resolved.
