Book & Paper Delivery Service delays

We are currently experiencing delays with our Book Delivery Service that is affecting both of our Pick Up Locations (King's Manor & Ron Cooke Hub). These delays also extend to our Paper delivery service. 

We are looking to resolve this issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you are able, the quickest way to borrow an item will be to retrieve it from the JB Morrell Library.

We are unfortunately expecting delays with our Book Delivery Service to continue over the weekend. These delays are also impacting the delivery of staff paper requests and the speed in which we can empty Book Drops and return items.

Book Delivery Service delays - contingencies in place

The delays to our Book Delivery Service, Paper delivery service, and Book drop collection service are unfortunately ongoing. 

Though we do not yet have a timeframe of when we can expect these issues to be resolved, we have contingencies in place to deliver requests and collect returned items.

The request option on YorSearch remains switched off to manage the backlog of deliveries. If you have any questions on any alternative ways of accessing resources, please contact us (lib-enquiry@york.ac.uk).

Book & paper delivery service delays continue

The issues affecting our delivery services are taking longer than expected to resolve. Our Book Delivery Service remains paused until we can guarantee a more consistent delivery schedule and our paper delivery service continues to experience delays. We are also experiencing delays in collecting returned items from the Book Drops at King's Manor and Ron Cooke Hub.

We are working to find alternative solutions to these delays and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Book Delivery Service resuming w/c 10/10/25

We are now in a position to consitently operate the Book Delivery Service. Consequently, we have now re-enabled the option to request items on YorSearch.

All staff and students can request items to be delivered to the Campus East Booklocker at The Ron Cook Hub.

All staff and students based at King's Manor (namely Archeology & Stained Glass) and request items to be delivered to both the Campus East Booklocker at The Ron Cook Hub and the King's Manor Booklocker.

Deliveries of requests will resume on Monday 13th October.
