Reported issues with access to e-resources via ProQuest

We have received reports that some users are experiencing issues accessing ProQuest e-resources on YorSearch. If you are having difficulties accessing resources, please try the following fixes:

- Clear your browser history, cache and cookies

- Try an incognito web browser window

- Try an alternative web browser

If you are unable to access resources after trying these fixes, please get in touch. ProQuest are currently investigating these issues.

ProQuest have shared the following message:

We are experiencing a technical issue with user navigating to a book's URL who authenticate using an SSO service. You may receive the following message:

"Sorry, your institution does not allow access to ProQuest Ebook Central from your current IP address. Please contact your librarian."

Our technical team is working to have this fixed and we expect to resolve this issue soon.

In the meantime, please delete existing cookies from your browser or try using a different browser in order to restore access.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

This message also appears as a pop-up note when accessing an e-book.

Fix to ProQuest e-book access issue

No technical issues have been identified with ProQuest and access to e-books. If you do encounter issues, ProQuest have the following advice:

If you see the following message when navigating to a book:
