The 4-hour laptop loan cabinets at the University Library (Fairhurst building & Morrell building) and the Library Piazza study space are no longer functional. We expect to have new replacements in place in the summer. 

We are therefore currently unable to offer the 4-hour laptop loan service until the new hardware is in place.

Here are some alternative ways to use computer facilities:

PC classrooms and study spaces - there are many Computer labs and spaces available across Campus West and Campus East, including in the University Library

Emergency 7-day laptop loans - in urgent cases, we may be able to provide you with a laptop for up to 7 days. Please talk to us at the Library Helpdesk if you wish to enquire about this service

Longer loan laptops - if you do not have a laptop but require one for your studies, we can help you fill in a request form at the Library Helpdesk. IT Services may be able to provide you with a device for a longer period of time
