We will be doing some essential maintenance on some of our central filestores between 7.30am and 8.30am on the mornings of Tuesday 1 and Thursday 3 July.
We will be migrating filestores to new hardware. There will be a brief interruption to service for up to two minutes while the cutover from old to new hardware takes place. During this time services should be considered at risk.
The affected filestores include:
ITSFS (aka CSRVFS) - moving Tuesday 1 July
Teaching drive
Linux desktop applications
Business Enterprise Systems
SITS & e:Vision
Agresso
Pure
ResourceLink
Kinetics
Yimsstore
plus many other systems
UserFS - moving Thursday 3 July
Windows M:/H: drives
Linux home directories
We will also need to temporarily remove IPv6 addresses from the filestores the day before the moves - this may cause some connectivity issues for a small number of people.
We apologise if this disrupts your work.
