We're currently experiencing an issue with student/staff name data which may impact services such as MyTimetable, CheckIn, Directory and MyUoY. The impact may affect how your name displays and/or access to services.

Teams are investigating as a priority and updates on resoution will be shared as soon as we can

We've identified the root cause of the issue and are working to resolve it. This has been caused by an internal configuration issue.

At the time of writing we are aware of the following known issues:

-Directory - display names misconfigured
-MyTimetable - display names misconfigured, attendance list unavailable, email list unavailable
-MyUoY app- display name misconfigured
 

We will continue to update this list. If you have any concerns about other systems please contact IT Support

Investigations and resolution of this issue is ongoing.  


So far, we have fixed and refreshed the University directory.


For other systems we are aiming to restore normal services to users during the day tomorrow.


We will update again here once this has been done.

The issue with incorrect data displaying in several systems is still ongoing.  We have resolved the cause of the issue, but the incorrect data remains at present.  The team working on this is hopeful that they will be able to resolve the incorrect data stream today and start pushing it to downstream systems.  There is some uncertainty about how long the correct data will take to propagate to all downstream systems.  Further updates will be made through the day.

The issue with incorrect data being displayed is still ongoing.  Progress has been made with the resolution, but we have not been able to complete and release this today.  We are now hoping that the fix will be released tomorrow and correct data will start propagating to downstream systems.  We will let you know when this has happened. 

First fix releasing tonight

To fix our ongoing issue with incorrectly displayed data in several applications, we are releasing the first part of the fix tonight.  This will start sending out the correct data over the next day or so. The correct data may take a few days to propagate out to all downstream systems. We will continue monitoring progress over the next few days and make an announcement when we think everything is resolved.

Fixes starting to appear in downstream systems

The work to resolve this issue is ongoing.  Corrected data has started to appear in downstream systems.  We know that correct data is starting to appear in the MyUoY app and Termtime now as well as other systems.  We also know that not all corrected data has run through yet, so some users are still seeing the issue.  We are now hoping that the correction of data will be completed tomorrow.

The issue is now nearing full resolution. Correct data has been successfully propagated to most downstream systems, and the majority of users should now be seeing accurate information.

We are continuing to monitor the remaining systems where updates are still being applied. These are expected to be resolved shortly as the final data corrections complete their propagation.

We will continue to monitor the systems over the next few days to ensure ongoing stability.
